Reading a cultivar record
Lineage, tier, flavour genre, and notes are working language from the network sheets — not marketing copy.
A Grass Roots cultivar page is a genetics record, not a product SKU.
The display name is the name the cut is known by. The full source string is preserved so a later researcher can see the original workbook wording — including breeder attributions and “extremely rare” flags.
Tier (T1–T5) is an internal network ranking from the historic “Available Cultivars in Our Network” sheet. It is not a lab grade and it is not a price.
Flavour genre, purple/green colour, and hasher/smoker category are the filters that sheet actually supported. We did not invent extra scientific axes to make the catalogue look busier.
Seed lines are a separate kind of record. They carry generation and sex because that is how the “Our Seeds” sheet was kept. A seed line is not automatically a clone, and a clone is not automatically for sale.
Historic lab notes, where they exist from the 2022 workbook, are labelled as historic. They are not a current certificate of analysis.
